Wow, that's a lot of items. Didn't realise i'd collected that many to get my level 9 (nearly level 10) building. It's a shame I won't be able to get more than 1 level 10 and a partially leveled one this year, but I can kind of see why. With the size of the radius and the the 10% bonus to income they are really nice coin producers. I can understand why they don't want us to get 6 on one year. I suspect they are no where near as useful to the really long term players as you guys probably don't need many coins any more.

At current even spy glass doesn't bring me helicopter reward...
So the difficulties are all over

I have activated both the spyglass and sky captain with no luck on the drops. Just wondering what the best option would be to generate the drops...

Since I rarely fly helicopters, I decided it was a better bet to go for 2-3 Game Museums. Not great passenger output, but certainly better than coins! I upgraded 1 Game Studio, will either sell or warehouse the others after the event.

I may keep the level 10 game studio since it give 10%(?) coin bonus. Others will be warehouses for sure.

At some point, you will have built all passenger buildings you can buy, so any new passenger building is then welcomed even if the output is relatively low.

I'm well underway of three-starring Southam. After that, I think I will fly with a Dice activated to specific destinations that will drop items I need for upgrading the game studio, and I'll see how far I get. A building with 10% bonus with a relatively large radius will find a spot in my city always, and I'll go for a red heli if I can, just so that when I need to fly heli's in the future I will have a more profitable heli (I have room to spare on the airport side anyways, so no need to sell the heli-stuff just yet).

As for why not keeping them, land now costs me 180 greenies per square, (90 on sale), and I can't justify taking up that space for coins, as I already have millions of coins. Granted, I could get rid of most of my other coin producers and probably still come out ahead, but many of them are visited daily by other players, and I like being able to share my airport. What little land I have left on my city side is reserved for adventure buildings.

No - they visit for side quests, not coins- visit so many eateries, so many grocery stores, newspaper buildings, coffee bars, museums, mega malls, etc. Been a long time for us old-timers since we've had to do those visits, but I appreciated being able to visit my 3 main games when I was starting my support games.

Absolutely agree there Cresent Moon. Also I think they look bang tidy those museums. Looking for 4 of these and also leveled up a game studio to 10. Will see how high I can get the second one. Hope your well.

There is a bug.
I was trying to upgrade the game studio from lvl 2 to lvl 3. I was missing 4 items. Watched 4 video ads. Just had to wait for the timer to end.
Came back a while later. All 4 items were missing again, but now no available video ads.
