I would like to break that world record launch.

Does anybody remember if the world record launch was red, green or blue?

I like Husam's idea of doing all three, but if some are working with supports, it may be difficult to get 100 in the blue and green

The launch was organised back in July 2015 by the great @Robby Kusama (that’s the way I always spelt it, although I’ve just discovered he spelt it Kusuma before GI forcefully retired him from the game). Unfortunately, I started playing not long afterwards and missed the party.

Here's a photo of of the two of us siting in a bar with our phones out and discussing Airport City tactics when I met up with him in Jakarta in November, 2017.

187 players launched, mostly sitting in wait for hours as more and more joined. Tensions ran high for a few as points kept trickling in and there was concern somebody would launch by mistake! Note: any plans to attempt it again would be wise to choose a RED launch to allow the buffer of extra fuel needed.

Robby put together an awesome video of the event and posted it on YouTube after it was done. I can’t view it in my country, but hopefully the link still works. I’ll try and see if I can get another copy from him if it doesn’t.

I had joked around, about a year before we met, that Robby “was an enigma, hiding out somewhere in South East Asia in a dark room filled with computer servers, monitors and blue cables” (or similar) and that one day I’d travel to find out if he really existed. It was all in jest and I had no idea that I’d that I’d actually do it a year later 🤣.

You have time to build a red launch pad & up grade your MCC. These launches will be happening sometime in April. That will give you plenty of time.
