6.27 Update

:(:confused::eek::oops:o_O:cry::notworthy:(n):grumpy:

I have crop circles just no land to put them on .... nor the cloud castle (10 more to go), nor 2 more space monuments, nor an extra tesla, nor 5 more pyramids (20 more items to go)

When it comes to having no room to add, nor money to buy land, it becomes time to prioritize your needs.
As an example, replace houses w pools with mirror houses. Replace car dealerships with something that gives more earnings, with equal or slightly more amount of rotation time.
Always build upwards if you cannot build outward.

I just noticed that an extra 4 days has been added to the time to complete this quest? I'm fairly sure there were 13 days remaining yesterday and this morning I see there are 17 days left?
Or am I dreaming?

Altitude is the vertical distance between the craft and a defined horizontal reference. The horizontal reference is usually either sea level or ground level.

Attitude is the orientation of the craft with respect to a of reference axes. The reference axis system usually has the z-axis as the vertical with respect to the Earth's surface. The craft axis system usually has the x-axis running from the nose / front of the craft to the tail / rear. The aircraft is z-axis runs up / down when the aircraft is on the ground.

In the Game, both words Are fine.

;)
Both words are aviation related and have been explained before (good revision, though). The issue here, is that the flight item “attitude indicator” (which the icon shows) has been incorrectly relabelled “altitude indicator” (which the icon is not). One has to wonder why someone would change the text in the game code for an item that has no other reason to be modified?

While we’re on attitude indicators, fun fact for you all about aeroplane design. The attitude indicator is an invaluable tool for pilots when flying manually, which in commercial flight is less and less common but still necessary for private pilots flying for fun etc. In some aircraft, the device has a static background and your plane is the moving part in the middle. In other designs, the background moves and your plane stays stationary in the middle.

That might not sound difficult, but apply the same logic to the speedo in your car. For just about everyone, we have a static scale and moving needle. How much would you freak out if the needle was static in the middle and the speed moved around either side of it?

Last year there was a problem with the same icon/description. For me it shows that when there is a new event, gi just take down the event box and tag it onto the game. So it gets added complete with the errors of the previous year! Would have thought that each event was debriefed and corrected BEFORE putting away. That way a corrected version is added the next time , not a corrupt version.

Good point!

Hi, I'm back.

There should've been a preview of this update prior to its launch but due to some misunderstanding between me and @Ur-quan there wasn't, so sorry about that, as well as a server issue (but at least we've extended the special event time).

Other than that:
  • We did change the idea behind Weathervane, because it was acting strange with some combinations of planes/bonuses. This gameplay change should have been in the preview. So the way it works now is it reduces the current amount of time left for the flight whatever that is which means the best time to use it is immediately after you start a flight and it gradually becomes less helpful if you use bonus later;
  • The altitute/attitude thing is probably one of those 'bug reports' that got 'fixed' by our localization team without telling anyone from the dev team, we'll fix it back;
  • I'm well aware that if you're playing for several years, the idea of doing same special events year after year is a bit stale even with all new rewards, and we have a general idea of updating events more drastically later, but right now we're 100% focused to finish the big thing we've started last autumn before we venture into anything else; this means several more updates will be rather small;
  • The big thing — at least in terms of development time — is coming this summer, that's our latest estimate based on what we have on hands now; I might be able to give you a preview in June with a beta coming sometime afterwards.
Cheers!

Nice to have you back! Hope you had a good break;
Thanks for the clarifications

Welcome back Ivan.
The "big thing" I gotta admit is bittersweet. I hope the main concern (you know what that concern is I'm sure) with the "big thing" is still being negotiated. I hope both consumer, developer, and owners will all walk away happy. It may not be likely, but I'll keep hoping :angelic:
