Welcome to Airport City!

AirportCityGame.com is the Number One place to be when it comes to the hit game Airport City!

7.0 update is out

New look to my city! Spent so much time and money building up my factories and then paid for greenies to upgrade them to produce multiple items. Now completely useless.

Why can’t we have a graded limit. Maybe 100 for levels 1-25, 200 25-50 etc building up to say 1000 for top end players. As the 100 limit players grow their games they will find it exceptionally hard to do alliance and adventure flights in anything like a reasonable amount of time to keep interest (and keep paying!) in the game. I really don’t know whether to stay or quit, I’ve invested so much time and money it angers me to walk away.

Give it a try Kevin! Just keep playing and adjust the strategies on the go. We all need now an open mind to be able to see this game on a different perspective.

This doesn’t mean I don’t agree with you: it would make much more sense, if a limit is really necessary, to establish it on a graded base. We can manage to get the fuel to do some runs, but at some point, getting enough items will be close to a nightmare.

Hi, and thanks for writing a detailed review.

First and foremost, the main problem here it seems is that Airport City doesn't run as it should on your tablet. While we try to support all suitable devices, there're thousands of very different Android phones and tablets, and there're some of them that just don't work properly with our game. If an app started crashing and acting wild with 7.0 update, but worked all right on 6.31 — there's a good chance we'll be able to fix things or at least substantially improve them with 7.1 or later updates. However, if it was acting strange with 6.31 and previous updates, too, the only solution might be to change the device (or, if it comes to that, to stop playing the game, but playing a Windows 10 version, for example, doesn't even require a new phone or a tablet).

Electricity changes all at once were not intentional, but yes, lots of buildings in airport area got updated with new specs, including electricity requirements. Since neither Runways, Terminal or Hangars now take up space in tech area, there's plenty of space for power plants there, including those that cost 100 coins per one. Out of all expensive things in the game, electricity requirements are hardly a money grab.

Three step procedure gets back to one step procedure with one building called Ground Control available from level 4 for 300 coins (and 100 more coins for building it instantly). 400 coins is a non issue even on level 7, let alone for anyone who plays the game longer than three days. This feature is in place for newer players because for the first few levels it is kind of fun to manage it yourself — and you can automate it a bit later.

Other than that, well, there'll never be an update that everyone likes. Airport City is played by millions of players, and every one of them has an opinion what should be improved, what is good and what is bad, etc. We try to move forward with features that seem relevant to many players — and we try to do the minimum amount of annoying ones that we can't avoid. I hope you can get your Airport City working on another device if it comes to that.

Hello Freeplay.

The good news is that I found a simple way to move my main Airport City game to another tablet (a Sony Tablet as it turns out). I booted up my old Airport City game on that tablet (I had already downloaed the update to Airport City on that tablet), and just selected my profile that I use on my ASUS tablet. Yes the game works very well on that tablet. So I should be okay playing the game there. I guess we'll just have to see how that goes. I'm still not happy about the electricity changes. You should have warned us, or made some kind of allowance (eg a free tesler power plant). As for the rest of the game, I'll figure that out I guess. It will take some getting used to. I'll play the current event and see how that works out for me. However, I still do not like the 100 unit limit. I would think at 500 would have been a better limit.

Thank for your suggestion,
Canadian Cowboy.

I also cannot visit more than one neighbour at a time - my game crashes and has to be restarted.

Also, cannot open collections when visiting a neighbour - cannot collect launch chests while visiting.

Just a couple of years ago everyone would absolutely kill for an event reward building that boosts max passengers instead of max population. Now a simple coin purchase that boosts max passengers 'hardly seems worth it'.
I get it, we should totally change parking lots to boosting max population with 7.1 update.

(This is a joke, we're not going to change them).
And which reward building was that? Oh wait, The chalet!

But a parking lot consumes more electricity than a lv3 resource base seems weird and unrealistic

But that means level 1 hangar and level 7 hangars are treated the same?

No, they still maintain the same loading speed as the old hangers buyt now you can buy arm extensions which help speed up the higher lewvel planes.

Lower levl planes will not see any speed impromement other then faster game speed.

Your hangars were converted to stands. Those stands are purchased with coins by players who don't have them.
Please refer to correct name to avoid confusion.
There are no "stands" in your game / available for purchase.
Boarding Bridge(s) cost 5500 ACG coins.

Just updated a level 74 game that had 12 hangers (10 red, 2 green).
The version 7 resulted in 1 Boarding Bridge.
If I read you correctly there should now be 12 Boarding Bridges.
The game wants me to buy 11.

Terminal -> Terminal Sections - Boarding Bridges

So far the game has been fine for me no issues except I decided to purchase boarding bridges just kept buying not keeping my eye on costs caught it on too late now have to re save for upgrades to tower and terminal. Plus I’m happy I can now gift F20. 100 item limit made no difference to me I already had this limit so have been used to playing within the confines of it.

Happy Flying everyone and I expect in a week or so we will be well used to playing this new version.

All in all it was a great update, love the animations when the planes are taxiing to their respective stands and how they all queue up when the airport is busy, it adds a small amount of realism that was lacking in the game.

The only issue i have found thus far is within the flight dialog (sorry not at my computer so can't remember its name), when you click on the 1-10 or 11-20 ... 61-70 tabs on the left hand side, it no longer moves to the aircraft that can fly to those destinations.

как писали ранее что работа над таким обновлением велась около двух лет и оценка этим разработчикам единица жаль потраченых 7 лет

Good news, we've found why the fuel counter is bugged: if you don't complete the tutorial for players updating from 6.31 to 7.0 version, the fuel indeed doesn't replenish while your game is off. So, a quick solution here is to finish the tutorial that explains what are Terminal Sections, Stands, etc. — and reload the app after that.

We'll check the fuel, if it's bugged — we'll fix it in 7.1 update.

Your departing planes will try to use the first runway (close to Terminal) when possible, while your arriving planes will try to use the second runway (far from Terminal). That's the basic rule now, this way planes (generally) are served fast. But there's certainly a need now to upgrade both runways to land guest planes and manage your own ones effectively.

my two runways are empty but the planes are also waiting each other. They are not going the second runway. This is so boring.
