I looked for an hour before I went golfing. My daughter sat behind me for 1 minute and went "oh there it is"

Found the airplane monument too - another case of "need to locate it before posting". The plane type and even the supports are right. Victory Park in Tambov. Having trouble finding a good reference page in English though

I think the mystery manor is probably based on a real medieval castle. Not THIS one but the architecture of the mystery manor is very plausible - definitely a castle built to be defended with all the battlements. Lots of meetings today so it's not high on my list of things to look for ... but it's on my list

I think you might be right. The grid support structure is also the same. I've asked for anybody with one to post a pic here so we can get more detail

LOL, I'm realizing that all Chinese Armillary Spheres are pretty much identical. They all have the same dragons and the same base (all missing the ball in the center).

I guess @TeresaLisboa you get to pick which one is represented. I tried to find one in the same park-like setting but no luck

I don't think it's a match. They are usually pretty good at the details and it's missing the arches. But you have my search going in a different direction now

There was a message on here years ago from one of the developers, I can't think who it was at the time, but they explained that they had just changed the design of the Jumbo by redesigning the tail to a T tail, as they were not allowed to let it look exactly like the plane it was based on. There were legal or license reasons behind it. It used to look exactly like a 747 before. So they were very based on real aircraft, but now no more.

Owl is more likely close to a Dash 8 Q400,
The main wing is not even close to the Saab you posted.

For the Hawk it feels way more close to an Airbus plane, but with the door configuration in-game it can‘t be a real world plane.

Initially, I had a picture of an Alaska Dash 8 but the T-tail made we switch to the Saab. Yet, the over wing of the Dash 8 is closer than the under wing of the Saab. I would go with Dash 8 based on @ItsRalphy's historical information above.

Thunderbird - Fokker 100

Slight difference in the T-tail but pretty close. Possibly a subtle change by the designers due to licensing issues @ItsRalphy mentioned above.

Swift - Saab 340

I was initially looking at the Saab 340 for the Swift but the tail didn't batch. Otherwise it seems pretty close too.

This will be my last post as I think we might be hijacking the initial thread and I don't get the sense this is/will be part of the project. I think the conclusion would have to be the aircraft are based on real life aircraft but are not perfect matches.
