Age of Ash 2019 Question

I am a bit confused.. To which destinations should I fly in order to finish the quest?
On one side there are the unique quest destinations (mount elbrus, fuji etc.) on the other hand there are the needed destinations for getting the items for the cold war collection such as Anchorage, Bali, Los Angeles etc.

So.. Where should my planes go?

The event specific flights drop items for the Volcanologist Equipment collection.

Flights to 'normal' destinations such as Bali Island, Los Angeles, etc. drop items for the Cold War collection.

I'm sure there is a thread on the how to complete the Age of Ash Event in general. But..... you visit neighbors burnt trees to get chain saw drops, you use the chain saws on the burnt trees in your city to get particulate filers which allow you to fly to event specific destinations. You fly to the event specific destinations to complete the Volcanologist Equipment collection to obtain Institute of Volcanology buildings. The Volcanology buildings drop jackhammers which allow you to visit the your city's volcano which drop items for the They're Not Rocks, They're Minerals collection. So the above should get you to complete 3 each of the Volcanologist Equipment and They're Not Rocks, They're Minierals collections. The remaining collection, Cold War, you fly to the Bali, Los Angeles, etc destinations to get the drops to complete this 3rd collection 3 times and the event is done. The real "reward" as I see it is to continue the Cold War collection because every 10 times gives you a Jumbo Ranger which has a 20% speed increase of the normal version. Although I can't use it I'm doing this one as many times as possible to have these valuable planes for when I am able to sustain Jumbo flights.

Very well explained @Spork ! The only thing I’ll do a bit differently is the visiting part. I prefer to ask chainsaws as gifts from neighbors and save my visits to other ends... but that’s just my preference.

Why do I have a vulcano who doesn't give me minerals???
Only 3 minerals have dropped until now in all these days.

The rest of the required items are already done, also because I bought extra fuel (2000 pcs.) with some real money.

This is again a dissapoining challenge for me.
It takes an hour everytime and then a dissapointing NO item again.
This sucks out the fun of the game.....

I don't know how others finish this challenge... I also have a job, a family and some hours sleep in 24 hours

It's a grind for sure. There are many times I receive nothing from the volcano and occasionally 2 or 3 items pop out. For this event it's just a time thing - over time you get all you need and then some.... I usually complain early on, complete the event and then by the end I'm sheepishly looking at how many I have for next year!!

But you can't just complain - you have to whine and rant. Use emoticons to get your point across. It doesn't seem to work as well if we just fuss - but an out and out temper tantrum usually does the trick!
