Seems as if combining the platforms is the direction that G is heading.
I noticed on Windows PC last week that I got a couple of 200 coin rewards for finishing in the 30s/40s for some cities whereas previously only top 10 were rewarded.
That and I also noticed that it is harder to finish in the top 10 for cities that I was flying as the numbers for the top ten are much higher now that it seems windows players are competing against other platforms as well
