Currently available: 531 destinations i.e. 1,593 stars; however in '20 and '21 3 event destinations in Thanksgiving Day and in '20 9 event destinations in Down the Rabbit Hole were replaced by regular ones (if permanent, that will decrease the number of available destinations).
Historically available: Russian event - 6 destinations; there are rumours about more low-end (Swift) destinations in the early days of the game
Additional historically stars available: some long term players earned >3 stars on adventure destinations (initially lower number of flights was required for stars from event destinations and later the requirements for Owl - Giant destinations were set uniformly to 20-50-100 flights - with increasing the number of required stars some players were able to earn additional star(s));

Good explanation in how much is possible. I just inform the number of destinations and maximum stars.
Please be careful to not consider someone as a cheater if has more than 1611 stars. GI on old days "give" some stars to some players after bugs.
