I was thinking I could maybe send say 5 extra landing lamps or something to 1 of my alliance members. It would cost you fuel and you would not get any passengers.it would just be a way to send excess items to your alliance team.
Hmm....not bad....but how would it be collected on the other end? With the 100 item limit in place, having enough flight items isn't an issue...but the cap itself is.
Also, how would you tie your alliance member to a particular destination for the flight?

It's a nice suggestion.

The Alliance Member could BE the destination. Say you click the alliance office (you need one) or the members tab. There's a plane icon there for every colleague just like the gift icon in friends tab. Once a colleague is selected, you get to choose a plane size among those currently on stands ready for flight (larger planes can carry more items?) and after that you can load up the plane with stuff from inventory.

Someone with a surplus of flight items could simply gift to someone needed, and since it comes from your inventory and not from thin air, this doesn't add resources to the game, just redistributes them (at a cost in fuel and plane usage) for alliance benefit...

The colleague collects the cargo from the gifts tab, and your plane lands a couple hours later, possibly with XP/coins gain depending on flight length (you possibly took paying passengers along for the ride as well, didn't you?).

Add a cargo terminal building somewhere (like the bus terminal is there but with no purpose) in the airport, possibly with upgrades to be able to send larger planes/load certain types of cargo/whatever.

So I'm assuming this hangar customization isn't a part of the 7.12 update. I would've rather to wait until it was ready for the upcoming update....that sneak peek was a big tease  :cautious:

  • Event duration: 12 days.
  • Complete A Walk in the Clouds special event to get a Newlyweds' House. ( max. population cap +20, increases passengers output of nearby buildings by 4% in 2 tile radius, generates 36 passengers every 8 hours). (such eager newlyweds )
  • Collect Candy Hearts during the event and participate in the event ratings.
  • Use Candy Hearts to purchase unique buildings and bonuses in the event shop.
  • One more building, Flower Airliner, will be available through direct purchase.

What's in the works? Sneak peek:peeking::
1. Completely new hangar interface (planes customization :censored:)
2. We're working on reserve hangar mechanics overhaul.
3. Planes pathfinding fixes are scheduled for the next updates.
4. Further bonus mechanics improvements.

I speak for I am sure a lot of people.
Why on earth do you release this before every platform is ready to update ?
Windows is always the last platform to update, so a simple question is : when windows is ready for update - then release as all are equal.
It does not make the game fair if someone starts 12-48 hours before others.
Fix it please.

One wonders how much of the frustration of new windows players playing events, and not being able to complete them, is caused by the shortened duration Windows players have to play events due to delayed release of updates. Its a known issue that has a very simple fix - Either have different finish start/finish times for each format - and the event finishes specific length of time after the update is available in the respective shop, or delay all formats Event start until Windows update available.

But I am sure a number of players spend real money to complete objectives that they would have been able to finish in the missing 12-48 hours - so the situation will continue.

Alright, the way I would see a cargo operation would be like this.

1) You would have separate dedicated cargo planes. Unlike a PAX airplane, a cargo airplane would have minimal windows where the cargo is kept. They would also be configured with a cargo door See:

2) THe cargo flights would NOT carry any passangers.

3) The airport would get an additional new terminal just for cargo planes. This dedicated terminal would a far different style of gates. An example would be the Fedex Memphis hub or UPS Worldport. See:

4)Yo could have businesses in your community send stuff out to particular destinations. For example, got the Private Clinic, it could generate a quest from a "Physician" to send X medical samples to a lab in X destination. And you be be paid for shipping that out. You could have a quest from a "computer store" to fly to another destination to to get X number of hard-drives.

In any case, I think a think such a thing would be fun.

Watch
for some inespiration.
