Yes you do.
Best to join other peoples launches until you get the hang of it. Launches are often advertised on this site in the Space Launch forum

Well this is sad the treadmill was hard to obtain.
If im correct cosmic feul station is the only free stable way to get launch materials right?
And if no what are the other ways to get those materials (besides gifts and launch ready boxes)

There are collectible launch items that drop from super buildings either your own or a neighbour's. Many of these can be awarded by completing events or bought from the store (certain amount of luck required for the mystery super buildings) or by playing the game regularly (again if you are lucky)

If you buy a stone castle from the store this will drop the items required for the treadmill collection

tap on the Collection chest icon, type "Treadmill" and tap on any item it will tell you where you can obtain them. For Treadmill items you can easily obtain from visiting your neighbors' basic passenger buildings. Or if you can't tell which one is what, look for Training Center, which usually are placed on the airport side.

When you failed with the launch, they can keep all 4 collections.
Maybe @Captain WH Rollins have the guide.

Thank you very much for your post and for the question, which has been answered by @Madge59230 - you now have the choice between searching through the Airport City Wiki or reading through the User Guides. As to which one works best for you, is up to you to decide. You can of course make good use of both resources. They both provide invaluable information about the game of Airport City, but are presented in different formats.

The Airport City Wiki was set up by a dedicated small group of forum members, and became live in February 2020. The user guides were created, and are edited by myself, these past few years. If I remember correctly, I wrote the first user guide in April 2017, there are now 30 of them. I edit them all on a regular basis, and keep them up to date, although there is always a time lag between when game updates are issued, and when I'm able to update the relevent user guides.

You are very much welcomed to ask questions, this can be done through the members forum or through a private message, whichever you prefer. Some questions come to me through the forum, while others through a priavte message. It is quite common for me to receive a private message from a member, who is new to the forum. The main advantage to a question through the members forum, is that others, new to the game, will be able to read and learn from them. I have been playing the game of Airport City for almost 6 years now, and I'm still learning new things, as the game continues to grow through regular updates.

Regards and Respects

When you visit neighbours and tap on their buildings, some of them drop items for collections that give you launch ready chest. In fact the same collections that are preparations for the launch (like the running wild collection for the treadmill) gives you launch ready chest which contain rocket fuel. For treadmills, your own stone castle, but also when you visit neighbours, there are various residential buildings that drop running wild collection and the training centers also drop it.

Just because you have the preparation collections for a launch doesn't mean you have enough fuel to launch. Until you do have enough fuel, you should join other people's launches. The fuel items and their values are listed at the bottom of this page. https://www.airportcitygame.com/wiki/apogee_mission/. Check your inventory before launching to make sure you have enough if you plan to launch by yourself. Note that each item has a re-use time. If you put in an explosive bolt, you won't be able to put in another one for 4 hours.

Here is a great guide.

Hi @Radi KH This table may be of use to you. I am posting it here because others may find it useful as well. Any corrections are welcome :)

Astronaut academy is wrong for one
Well this is just weird. The wiki states the drops are the same for your own Astronaut Academy as when you visit a neighbor's Astronaut Academy. But in the game, it describes them as different.

Example: In the game... wheat drops from your own Astronaut Academy, but not from a neighbor's Astronaut Academy

Is the game wrong or the wiki? Do you have first-hand knowledge of these drops from a neighbor's academy?
Have I been clicking on the wrong buildings to get collections???!!! :ROFLMAO:

Thanks for the help, BTW :)

Well Madlen says you are right. So guess the WIKI needs alteration

Whew! Thanks for confirming that. But I did notice I forgot to check the box that the Running Wild collection can be obtained from the Passenger Buildings I listed. Oops.

By the way, your city is super gorgeous!!!

@Jenn B when I look in the collections for Dark side of the Moon, it does say "Astronaut Academy" in neighbour buildings. So that's correct.

For the Running Wild collection, there are a batch of residential buildings in neighbors' cities too.
Yup, I noticed that too -- was too busy typing in all those building names
Table updated, if anyone cares... :)

Having double checked ALL 3 space building own drops AND neighbour drops the WIKI has been amended.
Its not weird, mistakes happen. Probably input from a support game thinking its a neighbour and in fact not. But all is OK now.
