  • Fuel and passengers from the gifts and quests completion will now go straight to the fuel and passenger bars (the same way it is now for purchases from Duke's store), so using gifts as a second inventory will no longer be a viable option; rewards for mastering flights and completing collections will continue to go to inventory being hard-earned rewards they are;

Will the fuel generator still be running after the fuel gifts are collected? I.e. will fuel be generated every minute, at a 1 unit/2 units / 3 units rate (depending on active subscriptions or bonus) even if above the stated capacity?
If not, using secret faucet or fuel additives will be pointless

Secret Faucett and Fuel Additives will still be very useful - but you will have to change your fuel strategy. I have always used F20 from gifts to maintain my fleet in the air (and occasionally F50) - I rarely saved them, seeing them as purely for "day to day" flying. I have been adopting a very full space collection strategy for the last 18 months when visiting neighbours - and I accumulate a lot of PEB/MS/LFT to captain space flights as much as possible, collecting F150 and F300 for flight acceleration. So this change for gifted fuel items will probably not change my fuel strategy by much.

I use Secret Fawcett and Fuel Additives bonuses to increase fuel recovery when I play continuously - e.g. using Vintage Weathervane bonus when running adventure flights (activate 2 or 3 adventure maps, VW and GD bonuses, and direct my entire fleet to adventure map destinations for a day). This means I can acquire adventure reward buildings without using warehouse reserves of fuel. I currently only do this for one day a week. So the cost to me is usually 36 green cash per adventure map day (activating bonuses twice) - I now have 12 adventure buildings, and I am acquiring an additional 2 or 3 each month.

The rest of the week are usually working days - meaning I play for 5 minutes 4 times a day - and an hour in the evening. So I have to use nearly all my fuel account F20 keeping my fleet aloft when I revisit the game during the day. I currently have 29 x F20 in my warehouse because I am flying PP aircraft for an alliance mission, but my warehouse is rarely above 20 x F20.

So that allows me to save my F150 and F300 barrels from space flights - and I am planning to use them for Alliance Map flights and space map flights (for QL bonuses). I do tend to buy the F2000 and 20 green cash bonus (offered once during each event) to get an additional QL bonus or support adventure map flights for smaller planes (jets and turboprops). I recently used up my reserves of fuel on map flights - I had 45 x F300 and 32 x F150 - 18,300 fuel and well within my 100 item warehouse limit.

The cost to me for this fuel strategy is generally to buy 106 green cash every two weeks. Although from time to time I buy 330 if I am looking to expand buildings or land.

Ok now I understand why GI wants that 100 limit. 106 green cash is something that I used to buy every 2 months... with an occasional 330 once or twice a year (instead of, not in top of)

I only use secret fawcett when I am not likely to be above my limit - i.e. when I run a day dedicated to adventure flights. When I accelerate flights with Vintage Weathervane, I need to recover fuel to max quicker. Bottomless Barrels are very useful overnight bonuses - doubling my fuel when I have lots of fuel hungry aircraft running - but that is the only time I use them.

I recognise that AC players all have different time availability. Several good friends of mine have lots of time available during the day and very little spare money for buying in game green cash. So their game straegy will not benefit from my suggestions. I see some long term players with 1000 barrels of F20 saved because their gameplay benefits from it - my does not. I never got into that style of play because I always had the 100 item warehouse limit.

Ouch, didn't see that one coming... So you felt you had to annoy all other players besides the ones with the 100-limit he?:rolleyes::cautious:
I'm actually quite attached to as small supply of F20's in my inventory, which mainly come from gifts especially since all of the 'easy' flights have been mastered already. That leaves very little options to acquire a stash of F20; you will be doing something about that I assume?

I still don't understand what QUEST means....I can work with gifts going to gauge cause I can decide when to accept them, but when they say quest, can someone elaborate on this some more?

There're side missions in the journal — hundreds of them, really, it would make a few novels if we were to print them all at once — that provide experience, coins, and occasionally some other things, too.
 
I think the gift will stay as today in the gift box.
and will be pushed directly in the bar stock without going inside the warehouse.

Or at least this is my understanding of the feature, and Ivan could confirm or infirm it.

Im missing something? Yes i get the straight into fuelbar. Thats not a problem. Its sitting in the giftbox i dont get. How is that not keeping stock?

Well, we're not changing the existing rule of fuel recovery when it's 'over the top': if you have something like 320/100, you'll not get 1 point of free fuel every minute until you get below your max. amount. Yes, you can still store fuel as un-accepted gifts for a week. Essentially, if you collect all fuel at once and use it at once right after that (for map runs or completing a special event, or whatever), the game doesn't change much upon introducing updated rules.

I guess we will have to wait and see, but it another source of warehouse that will be gone. Now to do any map flights will be even more demanding. I will need to stock up on F150 and F300 as @andy8758 said already.

First 5 levels of Town Halls and several early buildings are being re-drawn by the artists, so after 8 years we're finally on track to have most buildings looking good;
Thankyou so much for introducing these huge and some of the most important & necessary changes in the game.
Just one request, A way bigger need of every single player and I know it's one of the top priorities of GI team as well, when are we getting a redesign of hangar level 1?
 
I assume the max of 300 unopened gifts still applies so depending on how many rings you’re in you won’t even get the full week. Or am I wrong?

Beware that there is no 300 unopened gifts limit: this is just a display limit.
If you have more that 300 gifts waiting, when you take some, the next refresh will still be at 300, with hidden gifts replacing the retrieved ones
