I wish I had a screen shot of my Strangers on a Tram (Hong Kong) from when I was highly frustrated. It wasn't as bad as @Bob69bob 's situation, but it was like 20 of each item except one. Very frustrating. And, you have to get *10* collections for the building, not just like 3 of them for a set. I can't begin to tell you how many hundreds of flights, the fuel etc.

Also to complete a single Generous Land (Jakarta) collection took me nearly 500 flights to achieve. Truth.

The image I posted was a deliberate ploy to make it look far worse than what it really appears to be.
It hasn’t been doctored, but what most people will fail to consider is that although the mystery sets are at zero, I’ve probably collected and opened 8000 of them over the years. When you add 8000 to every individual tally, the percentages across the board are a lot closer than they appear in the screenshot 😉.

That, and until around a year ago the method of gaining items for that collection was different. Each item dropped from a certain plane type. I don’t know about others, but I had 100’s of items other than the scooter. My game has balanced pretty well since all items began dropping from all guest planes.

Ahh, good point! I thought my guess of 8k was a bit ambitious🥴! I probably should have used a different collection 😉.

OK, at the risk of necro-threading, here is a funny story. My goal was to get one of every building on every space quest and I was one building away (I needed the Showroom from Beverly Hills). I saw 2000 fuel for $5 and thought that it along with about 140 saved F20s plus some F300s in my inventory should be plenty, right?

So off I go and spend my hard earned $5 (sigh...there is my Starbucks for the week) and burned several bonuses to ensure 150% on item drops.

Long story long, I spent all 2000 fuel that I bought, plus all my saved F20 gifts, and all my F300s. This is all the fuel I could ever use, and still I was one item away from completing this quest 3 times and earning my building.

I was very frustrated! Like, the type of frustration that if I described in detail would be TMI if you ladies know what I mean 😖. With only a single possible flight left before going off the game for the day to get my beauty sleep I sent off my one last flight to Beverly Hills. Sigh... 😞

Anyway I woke up today and started collecting my flights. What did Beverly Hills provide, without any bonuses in effect? You guessed it, the *one* and *last* item I needed. I'm done - yaaay! This game can sure be interesting, I tell you. :)

Made me feel 🥰 - what a way to start the day!

Happy flying everyone,

Not completly sure but after GI change the why bonus work, for me, I think the bonus used before you send your planes will remain until you collect them. In any case congrats for your goal!
