New update - Down the Rabbit Hole (2016)

Spy Glass does not seem to really help plane and egg building drops. In the two support games that have the quest, I visited egg buildings 62 times and got nine drops; not bad, but not the same success rate as the Pocket Knives and Magic Mushroom drops. I landed 28 planes and got two drops.
When the quest hits iPad, I'll try Dice or Golden Dice or Sky Captain to see if one of those works better.
Anybody have any other results?

I did what I usually do and activated a load of bonuses and finished the quest but haven't completed as I want all the stars.

Playing the quest and got six Russian eggs, two Indian eggs and then I wanted to buy the Special Hangar and got the message that I cannot buy anymore Hangars. Made the mistake then to sell one of my step 6 Hangars, but the same result. Send a request to G!, does anybody else has this Problem? (no power Problem, I have enough)

A friendly piece of advice. Your question was already answered by previous posts in this thread. In this circumstance, your fellow players can help you much more (and much faster) than GI. Have fun with this quest; it's a good one!

I wondered what will happen if I placed a plane inside unbuilt Card Hangar.
Well, the plane is in the hangar, but it can't be launched. It's also invisible from warehouse/planes, so it can't be sold or dropped either. Of course, the hangar itself cannot be sold either.
I'd better get those missing cards...

The A Friend In Need bonus works great for collecting ten Magic Mushroom patches per day from your twelve neighbors ... for seven days. (Not at every neighbor as it states.)

By the way, I've seen no increase in drops by combining bonuses -- using both a Spy Glass and a Sky Captain, for example.

That is one of the Mystery Super Bonuses you get when you complete an Alliance Collection.

I have actually never flown an Alliance Map flight, but I have had very many drops and many collection completions from my "collectible" buildings.

I'm curious why the iPhone update is out but not the iPad. I thought having the same OS, the two would have pretty much the same architecture.
Any thoughts or conspiracy theories?

than 50% mushrooms drops, I could get the 6 russian eggs in one afternoon.

for the drops from planes, it is more diificult to evaluate; but without bonus, I got 3 drops in 40 flights and with the spy glasses and capt bonus, I got my plane with 20 flights ( around 8 drops).

It works for me, but doens't mean that it will work for you

I'm not sure how relevant this is but there were a few days where Apple had paused the ability to have the 9.3 update run on older devices. The window just opened back up midday today here in California and I ran the 9.3 update on my iPad 4 about a hour ago. It updated successfully and I expected to then be able to download the AC update from the App store, but there is no update from GI.

correction:
the spy glasses bonus is concluded and the good dropping rate continues....
make yours conclusions.

maybe the trick is that you need to follow the story: first you collect all the mushrooms to get the russian egg and then you start to collect the items for the indian egg...

Probably pulled from App Store due to the IOS 9.3 release - remember when IOS & AC update was simultaneously released last time- was carnage all round!

Ten taps on the Mushrooms in my city returned twelve drops.
Completed one more collection for one Russian Egg building.

Exactly, Spy glass is the pick.

I used a Spy glass and get at least 3 knives from each neighbour, most drop 4 and a few even drop 5 knives!
Cut some mushroom in own city with plenty of drops, one or two even drop all 5 kinds of mushroom and managed to complete 6 Russian Eggs in minutes.

Also drops from flights and eggs are excellent too. However still waiting for the card hanger to complete, so cannot check drop rate from wonderland.

how can you compete in an alliance to get chests, when the top alliances have any where from 8 members to 14 members, which alows them more passengers

"A friend in need" bonus also is best saved for these events. It doubles the amount of clicks per visit to 10 and lasts for 7 days. So with 120 clicks and using spy glass I got 68 knives the first day and 65 the 2nd. Without spy glass I got 22 knives on the 3rd. Save your bonuses and use them wisely.
