It is something the Japanese do well. I watch a great deal of NHK Japanese World (in English) satalite television, and a number of their shows are filmed in that manner. Also love watching Sumo wrestling on said station.

OMG - where are you digging these from? - I got a Doctor Who boxed set for Christmas - season 18, Tom Bakers last - so many classics around, I guess including us LOL!

Thunderbirds (1965) Limited Edition DVD Box Set - this box set contains all 32 episodes on eight discs. First broadcast in 1964, it is not just for children, but also for adults. It looks and sounds great, even after all these decades. Priced at just £29.99, I would recommend this box set very much, it is a great purchase.
