Very good - we are giving a local delivery service a try - they have sprung up in the kitchen of a local pub that is closed due to lockdown, but their pizza and burgers are supposed to be stunning - so we are trying their house specials tonight and can't wait!
This has become quite a common feature here as well, we have been buying in good food from a local pub and a few restaurants which normal do not provide a delivery service. We have not had a bad meal.

@ItsRalphy - should have created this food and drinks thread long ago.

Sunday lunch for tomorrow - slow braised beef cheeks in red wine sauce, homemade creamy mash potato, steamed green beans and steamed carrots, fresh baked bread, homemade gravy and something suitable to drink with the meal.

Hi Captain,

How about some homemade apple cider? Buy a large bottle of preservative free apple juice. Open the top and take out about an inch of juice to leave a couple inch gap. Add 1 teaspoon full of brewer's yeast (or bread yeast if you must!), put the cap on and give a little shake to get the yeast spread out. Take the cap almost all the way off again, so that gasses can escape, and leave it out of direct sunlight, on a bench for example, until the bubbling stops. Now you need an empty PET cola bottle or two or three, depending on size. Put a teaspoon or two of sugar in the bottom of each bottle, then carefully pour the juice off the top of any sediment. That means you need to line up all your cola bottles so you don't have to tip your juice bottle up and down and stir up the sediment. Now, the last step takes between one day and one week, depending on temperatures. Press the sides of the bottle. When the bottle is hard to press, it's ready to drink. Take care not to use glass bottles or beer bottles. Only use cola or other soda bottles because of the high head pressure. Chill the cider. If not using immediately, you may need to release a little gas occasionally. The longer you leave it, the drier and more sour the cider will be, and the alcohol content increases as the sugars are consumed.

Enjoy!
