I'm currently on level 22 with 50,000 coins, no green and won't be purchasing for another month or so. There are various opinions on when best to get started in the space program, however, I'm wondering if I should use some coins now to build a foundation. If so, any recommendations on what to grab first? Appreciate any suggestions, thanks in advance.

It will take some time, but I’d start by building mcc1 and green launch pad. When and if possible invest on some stone castles. They’re wonderful pass producer buildings and drop items for green launch preps. Start collecting blue launch chests. You get them not only flying to some destinations but from visiting neighbors structures: solid fuel stations, training centers, astronaut academies, planetariums, mission control center and launch pads. From these I would, in a first step, give preference to the first two I mentioned: they have good drop rates and give items for green launches.

I’d go for it. It is a relatively high outlay, more so on land, but it will pay you back quickly.
Keep visiting planetariums and training centres so that you build up items. At first, you’ll struggle to get a stockpile of items, but this will get better with time.
It can be done at your level, I’ve a L23 support game that just finished MCC2 yesterday, so now I can do blue and green launches. I am still at a stage of stockpiling items though.

Okay, I took the plunge and have the green launch pad and completed my first private launch. I'm endeavouring to complete the Cosmic Fuel Station now.
Questions please-
1) Am I correct in assuming that each launch will cost greens?
2) I got the meteorological lab assuming it may help?
3) Tried to invite neighbors to assist with launch, didn't work (Op error I assume?)

I will focus on getting Stone Castles and finding Blue Launch Chests (Not sure where yet) Thanks to all for previous input :)

Hi, launches shouldn’t cost greenies

On all launches you can get between 600-900 launch points from Solid Fuel (produced by CFS) and items that cost only coins. All the items, including the bigger ones drop from Launch Ready chests.

The Met Lab does not affect space launches. The Stone castle is good buy in my book, ranking up there with land and electricity producers.

A good rule to live by is to only start a launch if you can see it go up without any help. If I am short on that I rather join someone else’s launch.

You can check out Capt WH Rollins guides on space launches. You can also post in the launches section for support - generally there is a few people that check there and offer support.

congratulations on the first one!!

Okay, but now that I'm on my second launch let me say this... When I clicked to launch a box came up showing what was needed and some items required greens. I suspect that being a greenhorn newb, this happens because I don't have these items in my inventory (warehouse) I'm thinking I need to be aware of what's needed, gather items beforehand, and thus not incur green charges? Hope that makes sense.

That’s totally right. Have all the items needed, you don’t need greens to launch. Like Bertus has said, check the guides about space launch. It’s all there, everything you need to know.
