I'm down for the rock shop. It's only 1x1 and gives a great coin payout for its size, and a +20 to boot. As everyone has said, those 90/4 buildings are just uninspiring. No real perks to them; just sit there and take up space while giving lousy coin payouts. Now if some of them had unique drops....

What is the alternative for those 90/4 buildings?

After the last event, my wife says she's not even going to bother. 10,000 is too extreme unless you're a level 80 with a lot of resources (our main game barely got 10,000), and the drop rate from the neighbor's buildings was pathetic. We played every day, and my wife didn't get the reward or the 10,000. I can't say as I blame her, I'm getting pretty frustrated with these events lately too.

On a positive note, I'm glad to hear that more bugs are getting fixed. I hope the rate of plane breakdowns is one of the bugs getting fixed.

Let's see if we get an answer. But looking at 7.6 event, it's hard to get enough points for MSB. Either you need to burn lots of fuels, or be online all the time, or burn real money for it. (I have 10 planes, and it's very hard to get the 10,000 hats for the Thanksgiving Event). I hope that we get some snowflakes from landing guest planes.

We never will with a normal fleet. S2 maybe I think. By the time the last event ended I collected only 6,500 black hats.

I spent lots of fuel. With 10 normal fleet, I got 10,000 hats but just barely. And got Rabbit Hole for all those hardworks šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

It's one of those where the ease of 10,000 is very dependent on how many aircraft you have, and how often you can send out flights. Try to be tactical in collecting event tokens; I flew mainly eagles in the last event as the no. of tokens per flight was quite high, compared to a falcon that dropped 3. If you were spending fuel to speed up falcons it would need a lot! 130 fuel for 3!? If you look at the data at the beginning of the event, you can calculate how many tokens you'll likely acquire through normal play, and plan/decide accordingly if you want to push for 10,000. :)

Sometime it is good to be king even if only for a very short time. :ROFLMAO:

A quick rundown on snowflakes gain per flight and hour (with fuel burn and fule-per-snowflake ratio), assuming 1 plane going back and forth with no downtime:
Washington DC: 22 flakes/hr (28 fuel/hr, 1.27 fuel/flake)
Los Angeles: 9 flakes/hr (7.33 fuel/hr, 0.81 fuel/flake)
Paris: 7.5 flakes/hr (5.63 fuel/hr, 0.75 fuel/flake)

If you want to achieve the 10k bonus in 7 days, assuming 14hr effective flight time/day (108hrs ttl), you need to run:
Washington: 455 hours total, just over 4 planes (meaning a fuel burn of about 112 fuel/hr = a lot of additional fuel from gifts/stash or silver subscription)
Los Angeles: 1111 hours total, just over 11 planes (about 81 fuel/hour)
Paris: 1333 hours total, over 12 planes (about 70 fuel/hour)

Did we get flakes from something else in addition to flights and special building?

Edit: Table, with updated hours per day for each flight (= plane type), rounding the number of flights up as longer flights can go even while player is inactive.

Well there are limitless possibilities. Maybe one or two of them can remain as they are, but maybe a few of them can have better coin collection rates (maybe a 90/2 or a 90/1.5), or maybe have a bonus space surrounding it....or maybe even promote certain collection drops if they keep the same 90/4 collection rate (like the genetic building can generate drops from the stockholm flight collection [academy of sciences], or the rock garden generate drops for the nepal flight collection [alpine house]). Just those two changes alone would make those two 90/4 buildings a lot more enticing. That would make 4/9 buildings good to get, and the rabbit hole would be a constellation prize. Leave the other 4 as they are (you have to have some duds in there, right? šŸ˜… )

Hi!

Upcoming December and January releases will be focused on tech improvements. We decided to take our time to fix various bugs and improve game stability before going forward with major new features in 2020.
The first of those tech-focused releases is a 7.7 update with a Holiday Rush special event and lots of bug fixes. It's coming later this week.

  • Complete the Holiday Rush special event to get a Christmas Gift Shop.
  • Christmas Gift Shop is a commercial building that produces 100 coins every 4 hours. It also boosts output of commercial buildings by 2% within a 3 tile radius and increases max. population of your city by 20.
  • Collect Snowflakes during the event and participate in the event ratings.
  • Use Snowflakes to purchase bonuses, item sets, alliance badges, and Mystery Super Buildings in the event store.
  • One more building, Miracle Mill, will be available through direct purchase and will provide event collectible items for the duration of the event.
  • The winter is coming, too.
