Is a bit of a learning curve coming from the previous Private Threads, but once you've quickly got your head around it hopefully will make things a lot easier for the group owner and his/her members :D
I'm afriad not @Barkmi4 (Mike) . I've had to deactivate the Private Thread option as although it was created by the same company that made the Social Groups - There are potential conflicts between the two. They were not designed to intergrate with each other and could cause potential issues down...
If you're creating a Private Group - then keep all sensitive information in the forum. That way people can view your description but not see any other details until they have applied and been accepted.
Your group is private, as in only those that apply to join and get accepted can see the forums.
However everyone can see the group description - That's there to encourage people to join!
You can have prefixes added to your group, to try and help organise it even more.
These have to be manually added by myself, so please drop me a PM if you would like them added to your new group.
All groups that have had old Private Threads moved across, I have automatically added them for you.
Folks, from now one, please provide me with the actual link of the Private Thread and the name of the new group.
You won't see it, but there are hundreds of Private Threads, many with similar names etc and it's taking an age for me to search though and find the correct one.
As you may have noticed, the New Groups went live today. So far many groups have been created replacing the previous Private Threads.

I don't get what the animosity is if someone wishes to create a "Private Group" as opposed to a "Hidden Group".
Just choose the option that suits your group best and not worry about other peoples groups.
No-one will be able to see the content of this group, as it's set to private. Only that that request membership and get accepted will be able to see the content.
