Windows Repeated "restoring progress" during startup

Well like the title says, I get this message quite often at startup. Obviously I'll pick the latest activity, but sometimes it has set me back a few days progress during events.
Anyway to fix this.. it can be annoying.

I had this when I had 2 versions of the game on my PC. It was due to downloading the online version with better bonuses and keeping the old. The way to tell is I had "Aiport City" and "Airport City GI" loaded. GI version is the higher bonus version. Basically support told me I had to check the "Airport City GI" version was up to date and the one I was playing, and delete the "Aiport City" version. From then on all was fine.

I am no techkie, so would ask support, but if this is what they suggest, it makes sense.
