"Popular in the United Kingdom, onion bhaji is a spicy fried onion dish of Indian origin. Often served in Indian restaurants, onion bhaji combines spices, flour, and sliced onion to create a fritter-like appetizer or snack. This dish is frequently served with a mango chutney or yogurt-based dip."

Just had some medical news, and the basic upshot and reason I am posting here is I have become a type 2 diabetic, and also need to go low carb in relation to my heart. SO I am having to change my diet completely, and need to move to a low carb diabetic friendly diet. Will be scannnig suggestions in here for any that will suit!

Being from India, would add a few points, bhaji is the word used in South India, the same is called Pakoras in Northern region, it can be made with Fat Chilies (Called Milagai Bhaji or Mirchi Pakora), potatoes, raw banana (called Vazzhakkai Bhaji), Baby corn, sometimes with Cauliflower (but it gets a different name as dry Gobi or Gobi pakoda, it can be mixed with sauces and served as Gobi 65), Chicken (with sauces as Chicken 65), Mushroom and many more
