And sort out the mess of skins. 2 colors per plane. Most of us don’t care. I want my s3 back, and others have lost s1 S2 and s3 and tropical planes etc etc etc. I’d go so far as say Nav, stop singing their praises when their update stinks, please.

It's not singing their praises...moreso seeing the potential with the new concept after making some adjustments.
I am fully in agreement with you that things can't stay as they are, and they indeed need to address the other issues going on with the game. Still have quite a number of bugs and a lot of other things either need updating, re-doing, or elimination altogether. I also agree with your concept of turning off unnecessary things that may cause performance issues...a great idea that I do hope they implement.
However, I welcome any change that can give the game more dimension. Remember our reaction when autocollect buildings first surfaced a couple years ago? We groaned then as well, and complained about the contracts costing gold and silver tokens, which was not worth it at all. However, many including myself saw the potential in it. They made some changes to contracts costing silver tokens only, and now pretty much every veteran player has visa centers and police stations in their city. It was a gamechanger, and gave the game a new dimension. I see similar potential in liveries as well...if they make some key changes.
Now cars....yeah they can get rid of that 😅

Stinks is a very good description. This update is possibly one of the worst ever - even today I have had 2 more updates when ive opened my game, how bloated can they make the program.

Completely ridiculous cars that do nothing but go up and down sections of road aimlessly, supposed customisation which in reality is just a way to get people to spend greens on a different colour with some speed benefits which in reality has screwed up many of the S1/S2 and S3's that people have worked hard for, maybe it would have been good idea to actually check it works before releasing it, and all of this takes up lots of extra MB which caused devices to slow down


And Ive not even mentioned the windows balls up - didn't GI come on this forum and clearly state that in future new quests would be built into previous updates so they all started together regardless of OS - well that was a huge success wasn't it

And all throughout every problem the official word is always the same from GI - its not our fault and we are working on it

It seems that Windows users will miss the "Riding the Comet" event. GI has advised me, there will be a BIG compensation for every affected player. Additional details will be forthcoming. I too think that Game Insight probably needs to be more conservative with their development. Right now, their mouth seem to be writing checks that their body can't cash.

The problem is still not only are we Windows users being excluded from events, but we are prohibited from making neighbor visits that we depend upon and likewise, our neighbors are being excluding from visiting us. It all has a knock on effect for everyone. They would've done well just to focus on events and fixing bugs as well as doing things such as maintaining some degree of compatibility should they be unable to deliver.

And they like it or not, those rubber checks have been writing are now starting to come due. There is only so much time they have.

In addition to anything else that we are compensated with, 10 free squares of land would be nice. The good thing about compensating with land is that the cash value will be greater to more advanced players, who have put many years of effort into their city, while giving a hand up to newer players. Land square value is commiserate with a players level of play.

Good recommendation though I think this would favor players with high level of expansion since cost (greenies) per land expansion is higher.
