At least this was the purpose as it is complete odd again. Did sent them. Got stuck a bit with the last one as I didn't get a confirmation, and then I have 14 left again to be sent... Is that true? If a person clicks on "complete" for the event, then I won't find any collection items when I visit their universities?

This crops up from time to time and not sure if it got answered 100% but I would think it highly unlikely to be true.
More likely is that if a player is still participating in the event then they will still be able to collect from other Universities even if the other player already completed.
The main reason not to complete is so that you can still keep flying to the event destinations.

Ok bro, actually it feels now lots of needy also there, so I transferred the gift to one of them. But the nos. Of gifts are required to be increase as lots of items are troublesome to collect by own, even after nos. Of flight

My LY game is not updated to 4.7.x and cannot update for the time being, I have explained several times and also noted in my signature. If you sent neighbor request from an updated game to LY, it won't receive it and thus cannot accept.
