My LY2 game finally got the gifts reset today (after almost 48 hours since the last reset), so not sure what's going on, but anyway I can send gifts now. My gifts just went out a moment ago and my signature has been updated. Both of my games do NOT need Pocket Knife anymore, got enough mushrooms on both games, just need Magic Mirror and the cards.
