Definitely. When I was a kid, my mom would grow butternut squashes in the backyard. She would chop them up and cook them in millet. It sounds pretty disgusting, but it was healthy and delicious. I still make it today, except with store-bought squashes.
Squash is great to use in cooking and when baking, squash with rice and golden sultanas for example
And in the fall, I make butternut squash bread. It's just like pumpkin bread, except it's more moist and has a nicer flavor. Squash is good however you make it.
