Windows The desktop version of GI seems to have another issue

I don't know about the situation of others. Starting from the afternoon of the day before yesterday, the game suddenly lost its internal connection with the server, meaning that other members of the alliance cannot be seen in the game, and so on
Later on, I thought it was a problem with my own network, so I restarted Win11 and entered the game again. The situation did not change. Later, I reinstalled the game, but there was no change. After the event started today, I still tried it and it was the same

I have had a variety of serious problems with the GI version, though not the one you describe. I have now permanently migrated back to the MS Store version and most - but not all - problems have cleared up.
I checked all the recent updates on Windows again and tried several other games, but couldn't find any problems.
I plan to reinstall Windows tomorrow

I had the biggest problems when i ended up having the desktop, and the desktop GI version loaded at the same time. When I used bonus codes etc, it wasn't saving what I had earned. Which ever version you are on, you must delete the other or it really gets blips. Good luck!

My GI version :

1. would not give rewards for placing in a quest league -> all rewards gone
2. would not give rewards for placing in a league for weekly alliance destinations -> all rewards gone (including several firsts there)
3. would not give rewards to me for our alliance placing in Top100
4. would not update the status of my fleet with the server, so I continually received weekly alliance missions for planes I no longer had
5. would not update the status of my airport-city with the server, so visitors were looking at what it was like in April this year

After 6 months of this, emails back and forth with Support, and a vindictive response on one occasion, I went back to the MS Store version, and all problems above except #4 vanished.

Im staying with the MS Store version.

Really GI, the game is becoming unplayable. If it is such a money generator to you, look after it and revamp your code. Its clearly messy after years of neglect, and design by a committee who stay for only a short while.

Give us - and yourselves - reliable code please.

In versions 8.42 and 8.43GI, before this event, there were really no problems running the game here, such as the alliance missions and various ranking issues you mentioned,

Just 2 hours before the start of this event, suddenly in the GI version, I couldn't see any other members of the alliance or any neighbors, and the rocket launched was also gone. Then I restarted Windows and entered the game again, but the problem still exists

After uninstalling the game, downloading and installing it again, I found that the GI LINK code was not working after starting the game, and I couldn't convert from the Android system game. The prompt showed that the verification code was incorrect

the GI window game in version 8.43 no longer supports the Windows 10 system,
Because my mother has an old computer at home that still uses the Windows 10 system
The 8.43GI version should be developed as a version of the Windows 11 Android subsystem
Nope. I have a Windows 10 22H2 Build 19045.6691. Just installed GI version 8.44.1 from site. Everything works as expected.

Last week, I really didn't have time to mess around with installing the system. Starting yesterday, I reinstalled Windows 11 and carefully updated it.

Finally, the GI Windows version was installed normally and running smoothly

Then a simple comparison was made,Then a simple comparison was made, which was unclear about the cause, leaving me confused

There is also a possibility that there is a conflict with the software I installed

I find this a mystery! - next test is how the friday code works because that is when I had my issues, although to be frank I didn't realise I was running 2 versions whereas you are far more aware ha ha

Nope. I have a Windows 10 22H2 Build 19045.6691. Just installed GI version 8.44.1 from site. Everything works as expected.

At noon today, I checked the Windows 10 version of the old computer at my mother's house and found that the version had indeed not been updated,
It was 21H. Later, I upgraded to 22H2 and downloaded the GI version of the game again for installation. Indeed, the game installation start screen appeared, but the installation still failed. The prompt is as follows. I don't know if it's because I'm missing some deployment file or an installation environment file

If the pilot knows the reason, I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide an effective response. Thank you very much!

I did not know the real reason to be honest. Quick googling suggests that you need to get the latest updates Windows 10, restart and try installing AirportCity as Administrator one more time.

Besides, I can suggest to extend Windows 10 update for one more year first as described here and update Windows to the latest state. If the error comes back after reboot, try googling the solution

Thank you very much for your reply. It's very helpful to me.
I will try again

Probably, I found an other possible reason. The missing file in question "v89zhzetxykqt" is the standard AirportCity save game location:

c:\Users\[Your_User_Name]\AppData\Local\Packages\0EB8BD08.AirportCityG_v89zhzetxykqt

Could be that you have this folder already (if you had a prior installation of the game on this system) and the new installation could not overwrite it due to the access rights issue. Please uninstall the previous AirportCity game version properly (via Add/Remove Programs in Windows) or move/delete this folder before doing a new installation.

There is a separate guide on how to deal with the save games by Captain WH Rollins with more details on the matter.

Thank you very much for your reply. I will try to install it again this weekend when I return to my mother's house.
My mother and I live about 20 miles apart, and usually on weekends, my wife and I visit her
That old computer is for her to watch videos in her free time
