Just as a warning. Remember, Adventure buildings are meant for passive collecting. Notice that @Bob69bob wasn't really pursuing that specific collection at the time. Not downplaying adventure buildings at all (you should definitely have at least a few), but for a specific collection, you still want to do the flights and hope that the adventure buildings may throw you a bone or two along the way (got a pick axe once from my Quantum Skyscraper). Adventure buildings are great for helping you with future collections that you may actively go after, not so much for the current ones (unless you have a lot of adventure buildings)
Yup. Got it. I guess I was just being envious. At this time in my life, I can't dedicate 6-hour chunks to do the adventure flights.

A piece at a time....don't rush it. Also, it's important to think about how many adventure buildings you want. Right now, I only have 3 from the adventure flights, and I only plan to have 6 at the moment. I don't rely on them much because I'm going after very specific collections, and there arent many of them. Also, as you expand your city, land gets expensive, so don't try to copy veteran players with a whole lot of adventure buildings. It took them years to accumulate that many, and most likely they can generate greenies from casinos/banks/mints, so land expansion is no big deal to them. For me right now, Im paying 20 greenies for land during a sale, and the price will continue rising.
Bottom Line: Plan your adventure flights wisely. Save your fuel, and only go after an amount that you can manage.

I think you’re underselling it a little. People with vast numbers of adventure buildings are also, more often than at least once a week, picking up bonuses like Sky Captain, Inconvertable coin, Secret Faucet, Business Class and the list goes on. All of these bonuses just falling into your lap.
One thing I have noticed about this game is that as time goes by, your city’s development isn’t a steady continuous line on a graph. The more you develop, the faster it gets and the more cool stuff becomes available. The graph below was scrounged via google so the numbers don’t mean anything, but it’s a good representation of what I’m talking about...

Green: what I thought would happen
Blue: what it now feels like is happening
Red: how I think the growth really goes.

I had the same thought process as you when all of the veterans kept saying, “do the adventure flights”. It wasn’t until things started dropping in numbers that I realised what they were on about. I reckon that once a day when they all drop, I get around 5-10 collections being completed. Every day! (And my building numbers aren’t huge by any stretch of the imagination).

But that does come at a price (land purchase)....and it also depends on your objective for the game. Even with the few I have, it has certainly helped, but unless I get quite a few more buildings, I won't see the benefits like you (based on the exponential curve). I do agree that once you get certain things, growth becomes a lot easier

Land does become an issue. As the game progresses, you’ll find that you become far less reliant on coin buildings. I have one of every coin building I’ve been able to find (only a few population boosters have multiples) because that’s been my thing to do :). In reality, coin buildings start to produce less and less of your income as a percentage compared to other avenues. Take a look at some of the mega cities and you’ll see that many have far less coin buildings than you’d expect (most of those would also be population boosters). Each adventure building also adds pop+50 so I’m even at the point of being able to retire my Grand Hotels (room for another 6 adventure buildings ;). The key is finding the balance- game advances, coin buildings become redundant, land opens up. But we digress...

We all have different things we want to achieve. To simplify everything I’ve said, if you rush ahead too quickly, certain features of the game (eg breakdowns) will stop you dead in your tracks. The old Tortoise and the Hare story. There’s nothing worse than sitting around for 12 hrs because you can’t repair an aircraft or you’ve run out of flight items.

Completely agree. Even as far as coin buildings, I'm not putting up any that I find. I used to do the same thing, then I focused on efficiency, so I made cuts. I'm very selective in the buildings I want, and I have a goal as to how much per hour I want to earn. After I get those specific buildings, my coin collecting buildings are frozen, then I will focus more on pax. If I get a casino, bank, or mint, then I may go after more Adventure buildings. For now, however, I want a solid coin flow and launch items; completing collections can come after that (digressing again lol). What I wouldve done, looking in hindsight, is join fuel rings early, save fuel, then start adventure flights from early, so that I can start building collections way ahead of time.

I wish I’d used that strategy for coin buildings. I hate tapping them and they’re popping up constantly. It would be far less annoying to get the production popping out in batches (too late for me now, lol).
You’re spot on regarding fuel rings as well. I’d be nowhere with the adventure flights if I didn’t have that stream coming in each day.

All hail fuel rings. This game would be pointless without them. I feel for those with the 100 item limit.
As for the coin buildings, I do have to collect often, but I check my game once or twice per hour, so I get buildings that fit that role. All I can say is that with the buildings I have, I've been able to make a lot of purchases that were nearly unobtainable in the beginning. If I'm diligent with my collecting each day, I could make 20 to 30k from coin buildings alone (my goal is to make 4000/hr or roughly 40k a day from coin buildings). Add in completed collections and flights, and I could hit close to 50k...maybe even more. With launch items being so hard to come by, and red launches not as easy as back in the GD Planetarium days, have to find another way to make money between launches. That leads to my Anchorage, Frankfurt, and Stockholm flights (thanks for blowing my cover @benfly123 :shifty::LOL:)
