Try going to Settings, Apps, Safari - scroll to ‘Clear History & Website Data‘. Tap and ‘Clear History‘. This has worked for me in the past. Good Luck!I applied the update and now the game just hangs.

It happens seldomly. Sometimes many close together in time, sometimes not. Most times you can't even see them fly out of the cars, so keep an eye on your greenie total.
You just need Level 2 to get coins and sometimes greenies from cars.

Seems like the chance of getting the greenie is something like 1 in 50 each time you click a car. So it does not happen very often, but you have that chance each time you click. Sometimes you might get one right after another....other times it takes forever to get one....but over time you can collect a bunch in this event so keep at it! Like Jenn said, it is really hard to actually see the greenie split off from the coin, so the only way to tell you got one is to notice that your greenie count has gone up by one.
