I've been reading the threads on here...Am I right in thinking I still cannot get rid of my Duty Free Shop, it annoys me and it is so pointless (IMO)

Why is it 'unique' anyway...It's sat there asleep Zzz all the time...think my neighbours have got the jist as I never return DF items only if asked by a Forum Member, which is rareYep. Kills me too!!
Maybe, ... maybe GI will one day bring an update to the game, in which there will be an useful advancement for this duty-free shop. Whatever that mightbe. Maybe...
Mine is no longer connected to a road. If it HAS to take up space, it can take up space somewhere unimportant.
Yes. But then we have to look at the "needs a road" icon - and that's uniquely annoying too. But uniquely in a different way. Of course.Mine is no longer connected to a road. If it HAS to take up space, it can take up space somewhere unimportant.

Oh absolutely, but if it's in a corner and forgotten about, it doesn't need to be taken into account when I expand the airport space.
Duty free in the very early stages of the game before planetariums and adventure buildings were available, was considered an essential airport side building just like cosmic fuel station about 5 years ago.
Essential building could not be sold or stored, GI is making progress in eliminating out dated essential buildings.
In the past the cosmic fuel station could not be removed, now you can sell it.
Those coal stations used to be even uglierCould try to hide it behind all those 'uniquely ugly looking' Coal Station's!?
