Green Launch Spaceship Launches: Using Up Smaller Resource Items

I just realised that I too broke the rules a little - I thought it was any of the smaller items so put in some liquid fuels along the way - reading back I see it specifically states the four items we can use. I didn't put enough of those in to affect my placing, so not feeling too guilty about taking second which I probably only got because some of you stopped adding items.

I wonder if it wouldn't be better to use a Red Launch to use up resources because everyone, placed or not, gets quite a good deal - though I suppose that would make it even more attractive to hijackers

I am guessing that the "hijacker" is not a forum member, which probably means that he/she has no idea of this informal small item arrangement and so from their point of view they are not doing anything other than follow normal game rules. It was the lack of any other means of communication that led me to join this forum in the first place because there isn't any mechanism in the game itself to do things like find out what people are collecting or for them to know what you want

Yes, you are quite right, it was a hijacker (non forum flyer) who did not know the simple rules to these series of green launches and not for the first time has this happened. I understand this and accept that it will happen. It screws things up for the rest of us who are members and it also screws up the Flyers League Table, making it difficult to update. Those who play the game but have not signed up to the forum are missing out on so much. The game does have many sort-comings, lack of detail etc.
