Interesting fact brought up by one of my Alliance members. No mention of this on fb or Discord. Only this forum. Seems unusual and may or may not be an issue. But, one has to wonder, with G!s silence, what is going on.
It is not particulary true. There are mentions in Facebook group, for example:I had a quick search for airport city and game insight on a couple of other social platforms and could see no mention....
I had nothing to lose so I selected game choice on my device and not the choice for the server version. All came back with correct AC, my planes and progress was all there. I've played most of the day and the only things that are missing is my Alliance and my friends. Hopefully, G! can restore my firends, but I haven't heard back yet.I have also been hacked, and I don't know how to resolve it
I have gathered all the information that can prove everything and sent it to GI
No, I haven't used it recently because everything was normal before the incidenthas anyone affected NOT at some point used the GI link feature.... I think this is the common link so far...
I'm not sure, but now I believe that regardless of whether you use device-side progress or other progress to play the game,@flyhores I also don't use now, but have in the past (mainly to get a casino) so the theory still stands....?
Yes, based on my experience with how they have been "functioning" for almost a year now, I would support this claim. Obviously, the people who wrote the client-server architecture for this game either have poor skills and understanding of this technology or are just vibe-coding.This is a very unsettling development, that's why I investigated this a little bit and found out that GI's servers are poorly secured, they have to fix this ASAP.
Yes, my judgment is that the issue is with the game terminal server, and it has little to do with the equipment we use and the operating system installed on the equipmentYes, based on my experience with how they have been "functioning" for almost a year now, I would support this claim. Originally, hacking was done "just for fun" or to show what you could do to others. What do they get out of hacking

We could not transfer resources to other players or sell them for real money in this game. Therefore, hacking is of no real use. It could be that GI thought there was no need to protect or encrypt the API, since hacking would not bring any real value to the attacker.
