Welcome to the forum, I have found it extremely valuable for not just gifts.
If you want to chat, ask use the @ as I have used, that helps.

Put up an avatar, that helps your neighbours recognise you so they can still send gifts that you need, rather than receive random
stuff that might not be helpful.

Put up a signature, with what level you are, what you have, what you need etc, check out mine or anyone else's.
Each time you write your signature automatically adds on.

And enjoy, it's a great game and the forum is there for what you need
