It is the space chest you get depending on your rankings in the space flight.
Gold for 1st place,
silver for 2nd,
bronze for 3rd place and season astronaut for 4th place.
if you launch a space flight you can usually have first place but if join someone else flight and depending on points you put in. The number of people joined you could be in any position.
