My game did a half reset tonight. I got a new daily mission anf can visit neighbors but it won't let me send gifts.

From my recent experience you will be stuck in a naughty corner for 24hrs.

Guess I can take my dunce cap off and keep playing now. My big offence was trying to complete the event before time expired . I found out that is unacceptable behaviour so I made my apologies and promised I wouldn't finish the event this year so they let me back out of the corner to play. Funny thing is now they want me to spent $10 to buy an event collection package at a "discounted price".

I try to fishing every task within 23 hours and leave the last hour before reset to idle, the other day I broke that rule and straight to detention I was sent.

Are you making sure you shutdown your game before reset time? Never play while reset is happening.
