So I've been playing now for about 4 months and have mostly enjoyed the experience. However I'm now facing a crossroads as to whether to continue. I'm at the stage where my next building upgrades are costing hundreds of thousands of coins. My current playing rate is generating somewhere between 10-20k coins per day so it's going to take forever to generate the required cash. I have to ask whether it's worth it. I'm also facing the never-ending fuel dilemma; with a growing fleet of planes (up to a jumbo) I don't seem to be able to generate nearly enough fuel to keep the aircraft effectively flying.

Perhaps I'm missing a few tips and tricks. Perhaps this is just the reality of the game. I welcome any thoughts and experiences from other players.

Awesome :) this game is really fun and the friends u meet along the way is priceless :) if coins is what your after, space launches will be your ticket.... also study the different bonuses that help with coins and exp.... friends/neighbors are one of the most important part of the game... They help with gifting and space launches too.... also there is a ton of info on this site and people here are great!!!! :) be calm and play Airport City :)

You need to build mission control centre level three and the red launch platform and start joining in with some launches. That's where the real money is made, easy enough to get 1-200k a day from that and more from the collections you need. Of course it could take you a little while to get there but it's all part of the fun of the game, I'd save just for space buildings. Once there you can get money for other stuff easier. Most of us did it the long hard way before red launcher was released but the higher level terminals etc. are newer and do cost a lot...

Once you get doing some red launches you might get some gold tokens and be able to buy a green note generating building, you've probably seem the casino and bank offers recently, mint is about to come. These are bought with gold and silver coins and enable you to buy land and bonuses. Flying to map destinations gives golds as well, you need to buy excavation maps from Duke if you haven't tried any of these yet.

Add me as a friend and hit up my planetariums for red launch collections, each collection gives you 2000 coins.

@Martyno - if I could give you my 2 cents. I'm pretty new at this forum - some two months or so. But I have been playing for almost 18 months now. Until I joined this forum and started to visit it daily - I was playing by my self. It took me a year or so to get to level 50 - only had one neighbor with 3 planetariums, 1 with 2 and one or two with only one.
Things have changed when I figured couple of things:
Red launches, as @M22 has written above. And also, let my ego settle down and be patient - you don't have to launch your self - join somebody, be 2nd, 3rd or even10th - you still ge rewards - and with red launches, rewards are great (fuel, launch items, collections).
Second thing - try and get more neighbors with planetariums - a lot have 5 of them (BTW - I'm still trying to get @M22 to add me [pretty please - can't add you myself - I'm on android. ]).
Third - just visit planetariums - you get a lot of launch items + collections - without any bonus, I get 15-25 launch items per cycle. And a lot of coins.

Also, no need to rush. I don't have any falcon yet - don't need to have. Still have a ton of destinations to 3 star. Now I'm flying Excavation/Adventure flights because of chests - you get gold - saving for mint/bank/what ever (lot to go - i'm at 12 gold). I've sold all my planes below powerful delta and now I have 5 jets, 1 powerful delta, 1 jumbo and 1 giant - only flying to get maps.

With all my buildings (there are some event/reward buildings) and visits + flights, I easily get around 100k a day. But can get up to 150k.

Haven't still been on any QL party - that's my next secret wish - to have tons of launches in short time. I even stopped opening reward items - they will be here tomorrow/in a week - and I saving them for Level 56-60 :)

I've been playing AC about 3-1/2 years now and have been on the forum for 3 years. To me, the game is about setting goals and creating the strategies to reach them. You can either have great patience or you can pay real money to speed things up.
I decided early on to go for as many stars as I could. (Others measure success in space launches, coins, tokens or collecting every reward building.) The limitations of the game make this a real challenge. It will take many months for me to three-star all of the Falcon destinations. But that's okay. Today I got my second star for Ibiza and I poured myself a beer to celebrate. It would be easier if I had more than eight Falcon planes, but until we get an airplane storage hangar, that's my limitation.
Almost all my success has been through patience. Three+ years I've been at it! I've spent about $60 on the game so far, about the same amount I've spent on X-Box games that I played once or twice. GI has created a great game and I don't mind paying them for it.
If you don't have patience or don't want to spend real money, this isn't the game for you. But as others have said, this forum really makes the game special. It's great fun working on quests and helping neighbors out. I remember a long while ago, planning the first Quantum Leap bonus launch with Bali Hi and Suresh. Here we were, three players from California, Indonesia and India doing something that had never been done before. It was genuinely thrilling. That's what make the patience worth while.
Cheers,
Tom

Thanks @greensmith - you've been a great help to me from the beginning and helped me with my first launch. I'm just finding hard to move on from their and am finding the goals ((540,000 for my next town hall, 400,000 for my next Mission Control Centre) a little daunting. Perhaps I just need to take a chill pill :)

Added you @Continuum , I didn't realise you had asked? I always add everyone from the forum, a pm usually helps me recognise it. As for ql parties, they're going on every day, you just need to add a few of the high level players on here.
Thanks for the add @M22 - I'm sure some visits to your great city on a regular basis will help me boost my inventories.

Hi @Continuum - I've sent you a Neighbour request, would be great to visit your city.

Martyno,

I have added you from Bali Hi & BaliOS.
  • Bali Hi is a game I started 3+ years ago.
  • BaliOS is a game I started on 1 Feb 2015, that's 6 months old and 2 months older that yours.
I just bought the first Jumbo last week for BaliOS, so you can wait 2 more months before buying one ;).
Feel free to visit Bali Hi's planetariums. You can also look at BaliOS to see how to maximize your city output.

**Tip** concentrate on upgrading MCC to level 3 and build that Red Launch Pad. Hold the Town Hall as long as possible.
Skip the Green and Blue Launch Pads if you have not built it yet.

@Martyno, just PM me once you build mcc3, I assure you that you will get millions from launching red.
Also PM me for the code
Once you will make red pad, the real fun starts.
You will experience it on your own and then you will be proud to play this game and would never thought of leaving this game.

Martyno,
I've added you to my erik2 game (5 planetariums).
Good luck with building the red launch platform and mission control.

I just read this thread.

Tips for you:
1. Visit only planetariums
2. Red launch

There is no other tips.... I am sure.....

@Martyno I've been there myself. ASorry Robby said, planetariums and red launches are the way to go. After visiting only planetariums myself, I've got enough red launch material that I could literally do a launch every day for over a year and a half. Plus 2,000 coins per collection (I usually wind up opening anywhere from 10-20 a day) helps dramatically.

@Martyno i'm in the same situation like you. Shortage of land, money and greens.
I visit daily my planetarium neighbors, do red launches and collect some silver tokens.
The gold ones are hard to get i think, i'm flying excavitions flights but they seldom bring something along, so the it's hard to finish the collection.
Already flying 15 x times to Tollan today to get my first obsidian knife. Now i'm almost out of fuel, and i still need the other items for the aztec legacy.
Yes it's hard to get... and to stay calm, but i'll keep on playing.

@Martyno and also @Kamikaze i know you are quite new to the game but I think you already know that you can get great support from this forum,
Neighbours like @greensmith and @Bali Hi are always there for advice
There are players like @AJ @Robby Kusuma who have other ways of playing the game
Everyone on this post will help
My best advice is if you ever need anything don't be afraid to ask, beg if needed even forum members you don't know, they will help.
Get addicted like the rest of us but just keep plugging away
If it was that easy we wouldn't be here:ROFLMAO:(y)
