Now that we have heliocopters, what next? How about a new Air Cargo Wing for the Airfield?
  • Build a warehouse on your airfield to receive, store and load goods from.
  • Add an industrial estate to your city, building goods transport hubs, factories, and business parks.
  • Build a new Customs and Excise Office that has to check goods received and dispatched.
  • Get a Goods Air Transport licence that allows you to build hangers for goods aircraft.
  • Deliver goods to new destinations.
  • Buy maps to deliver special cargos to unexplored remote regions.
Just a thought. Of course I am sure someone else has mentioned this in the past. :jimlad:

Hrmm, i like the idea, but when you boil it down, its still:
Get items/passengers/tourists
Get launch items
Fly the maps

You know, it seems too familiar to me - not that i dont want cargo planes, but I'd rather want a Mars mission first... Gather 5000 points, maybe extend the launch and fly time (to say, 36 hours), maybe introduce a new launch item, and give better rewards. Say, 30-40 silver tokens and maybe 2-3 gold for 1st, 20 silver for 2nd/3rd/, 15 for 4rth/5th, and then on.

It's a good idea, but perhaps given the costs in purchasing land, allow players the opportunity to specialise in :
Planes + space
Planes + helicopters
Planes + cargo.

And let you remove the items for the specialisms you no longer want, rather than be led down a quest chain that gets you building stuff before you realise you can't ever get rid of.
Then, as you earn enough to be able to expand, you can add other specialisms...

I'd never have started the space, duty free or helicopters quests if I'd know it would hamstring me in expanding my airport's primary purpose. And you're never told you'll be in that position.

Now THIS is an idea I'm all for. Expand space launches. I think anything dealing with planes is great as is....maybe just add a new plane beyond condor that doesnt rely on as much fuel or something like that (like the very fuel efficient jets of modern times), but the space program could do with an expansion. Love that you include gold tokens as well. I recommend putting this in a separate thread so that we can speak more about Andy's idea here. If you tag me, we could even do a joint idea, since I had a suggestion of adding an Aerospace Research Lab which allows you to build launch items from what you already have in stock.

It's not a bad idea, but as was stated previously, what would make this stand out from normal flights?
Honestly, this is the main reason why I haven't developed anything in regards to helicopters. I like the idea of the helicopter rewards, but they overlap the collection and the bonuses (pax building giving coin bonuses, and vice versa). I dont like that, since I keep my pax and coins separate. However, helicopters stand out because you can use them if you're a fan of bonus buildings, or if you want to build weather items. Also, heli flights are very quick....another plus. Your idea has potential, but it needs something that will make me say "ooooo that's different. I want to invest in it". Just my 7 cents

As I posted elsewhere. This is about generating ideas and debating them. I appreciate that other players may view my ideas in a different light - thats good, and thanks for the responses.
I would do this if they did a permanent autocollect building after getting the map items 10 times. Would be a revolutionary idea.

This is a great Ideal, I also suggested this ideal sometime ago. Hopefully someone in the planning office should really explore this concept.
