Per FB and here, sounds as if they are tackling worse support issues post releasing Moby 🐳

1. on mobile, go to settings and get your linking code
2. open google chrome on a pc or phone, and open the game website
https://www.game-insight.com/en/games/airport-city/play
3. in chrome, link your game. you will get the white whale on chrome
4. in chrome, visit any neighbor and then return to your city
5. on mobile, open the regular game and choose to keep "server progress"
6. now you have the whale in both places
