I have completed the event and still use the Hangers with regular planes, but as said above if you can't afford to lose certain planes don't put them in those hangers in-case a future update wipes them.

It's a great bonus for people who haven't touched many of the adventure buildings (as I can see you have done most if not all of), so for early games when you are just getting into doing some space launches the extra population makes a difference, when you start to get the buildings from space...

The Card Hanger is classed under a Special Hanger (like Santa and Military Hangers), so you can only have a maximum of 6 of these in total. So if you have a combination of 6 hangers of Santa and Military you need to delete one of these in order to build the Card Hanger.

I might just be lucky with drops, but with Spy Glass activated, sending out 2 card planes and rushing with fuel for instant return, it took me 26 flights to get 3 collections. The Cards (2/3/4/5 of Hearts) are needed to build the Hanger, not the plane. In order to get the plane you need to complete On Her Majestys Service collection, then you will have a Plane of Hearts to put into the Card Hanger.
