You can get one free item by watching a video when you first build the post office, but, by putting the building into your inventory then putting it back into your city you can then watch a video again for an item. The max seems to be 5 videos so you can get 5 items a day to help complete the...

Can use the video trick to get 5 items per day, 3200 coins to put the post office into storage. Malta (turboprop) seems to be good for item drops

Phuket doesn't require Letters of hope (Powerful Delta) but I think the turbo-prop, jet and delta locations need the letters. As for Jumbo/Giant/Falcon destinations I cannot say as I don't have any of those planes.
