I updated to iOS 9 (and iOS 9.0.1) on my iPad 3 and iPhone 6+ with no problems. (Those are my AC support games.) I have not yet updated on my iPad Air Waverly huff main game.
By the way, I made an iCloud backup on those two devices just in case I needed to restore the previous OS. Not necessary...
@Rsorour
It was worth a try.
I just don't understand how two identical devices running the same iOS and app software can have one working fine and one not working at all. It doesn't make sense to me. Is there a techie on the forum who can explain this?
Cheers,
Tom
@Rsorour
Just read that Apple released iOS 9.0.1 today. Fingers crossed that fixes it for you. Please let us know!
Cheers,
Tom

@Sexyraini
If you backed up your iPad to iCloud before you updated the iOS (which is always a good idea) you can always restore your device to that state.
Also, make sure your memory isn't full by closing down apps that may be running in the background.
Other than waiting for a fix from Apple...
I'm the same, Gt city. I check in a couple times a day to keep my six Falcons flying to Lisbon to get the third star and my two Jumbos flying to Quito for the third star. I also visit my neighbors' Planetariums to get items for the Space Collections. With no update, the urgency of playing is...
I have it on good authority that the new plane is the Bummer 3000:
It doesn't fly, it just sits in the Repair Base taking up space until you pay 3000 greenies to destroy it.

I posted this on the Big Update thread a bit ago. Same warning:

Apparently other people are having this problem. See this article:

@Rsorour
Ramy,
If you backed up your iPad to iCloud before you updated to iOS 9, you can always restore back to the backup.
Otherwise, try the email approach to support. It's probably your only other option.

Tom
@Airport city cheat
I play on iOS and have been playing for three plus years. Like Iva, I also shoot for the stars.
I have 559 stars with three stars left to get: one each from Lisbon, Montevideo and Quito.
The AC game for Facebook seems very different from the AC game for other platforms...
Upgraded to iOS 9 on my iPad 3 and no problem with AC so far.
By the way, it's always a good idea to do an iCloud backup before you upgrade to a new iOS. Just in case.

Tom
@diwata
If they are spending real money, good for them. That is entirely fair.
GI should be able to find out very easily if they are paying or cheating. They know where and who their income is coming from.
The problem is that I don't have a lot of faith that GI can recognize a cheater. They...
Perhaps the marketing/promotion of this quest for Windows PC was different, I don't know.
But for iOS/Android players, the collection has always been six times. Here's a paste of my original guide from May:
There are six new collections available with the recent update:
