Hmm. So as I understand it:
If one building/plane drops, it's means that "happy hour" is on, and I should click all others ASAP before it ends. So far so good.
If there is no drop, it means I should wait for happy hour to start. BUT - the question is: how long should I wait? I should wait...
Yep, they're a bitch. I've got four and they yielded only 1 item so far.
I recommend flying low-lvl planes to romantic destinations. I flew 5 jets, one t-prop and 1 powerful prop and I conclude that the drop rate from flights is not adjusted to flight difficulty (that is, flight that takes twice...
Generally windows can visit android/iOS - just not the ones with 10 Plantetariums, like yours : )

On the other hand, shelling out $10 is actually way cheaper than few hours of your time.
And the biggest boon is that you get 3 cash for free every week. That's not common.
Those maps are not used in a "map" sense (that is that you activate a map, it works for some time and during this time you can send as many flights as you manage to squeeze in).
Those maps are used like a flight item (eg landing lamp). One flight uses one "map" and it's taken from your inventory...
