Indeed just what I was going to say: Fly maps you get from Alliance-ranking, and the first star (50 flights) will reward you a Fuel Catalyst Pack containing 50 Fuel Catalysts.

Doing one doesn't prevent you from doing the other :) I'm banking 10k coins easily every morning when I wake up, just by collecting all coin-buildings in less than a minute. Strategically placing nice bonus buildings boosts coin production up by ~30%.

Nope, goes up to lvl 10: 200 coins per 4h, 10% coin-bonus with a radius of 5. Quite interesting if you are still craving coins, not so much if you have more than enough of them.

It's one of the few things you can still track your progress with. I try to get as many stars too, although I'm struggling with especially the stars for Giants, Thunderbirds and Condors.

I had one active who ended this morning, the one I activated in the afternoon did not give me any additional visits so I'm assuming it will just re-set the length of the activation period to 7 days.

Be aware that the friend in need bonus you get for free is activitated immediately. If you already visited your neighbors, you can re-visit them to click the remaining five items (but you have to revisit the exact same neighbors as you already did today).
