Android When speed up multiple planes, excavation flights are counted wrong

Noticed this behavior today.I flied to several excavation destinations with two planes. When I sped up two planes at the same time, they were counted as one flight. When I sped up one plane at a time, they were counted as two. This worked with two Turboprops (Mesoamerica) and two Jets (Ancient Rome). Very latest Android version (5.2.15). It cost me a bunch of maps before I figured out what was going on.
