What to do with the Meteorite Shards when The event Riding the Comet ends?

What do you guys do with all your 1000-ends Meteorite Shards when the event ends? How much coins do you get for them? Or buys 100 Flight Items Sets? Or...?

I like to buy the bonuses throughout the event. Spending it during the event doesn't change your competition standing.

With the removal of SG I am just going to do same as Fly Holland and buy up flight item boxes and store. For this event I have no need to instantly activate any of the other bonuses.
