Spending real money on a beta version

Can someone from G! explain to me and the general forum the rationale behind spending real money on a test tube program?

It makes no absolute sense to me because this version will be defunct when the whole program migrates to the main servers, I'd be pleased if an explanation is given.

Also, why isn't there any promo-code (weekend code)? Is it because this is where we are supposed to go into our pockets?

Someone have to be either dumb enough or rich enough to do it. Either way, they deserve to lose it all when the beta is defunct

Beta version must test everything in the game also when you buy a greenies.
Maybe Gi will return that money as refund or maybe will transfer it to main account when v7 released
