So.. i love space, but somehow it doesnt make much sense in this game.
Maybe its a missconception, but fuel costs 50 coins. the shuttle with the most money yield for fuel costs 150k that way and gives 20k for place 1.
The only way to get Fuel is the building wich yields solid fuel every 24h wich you can only use every 2h. Also the collections you need to start the launches, but only one random item.
I also got a neat storage of 27 strong explosives from coming in first in the last event and prolly will repeat that. But besides that? Only green cash wich i dont know if you would use it here.

Also why would i join other peoples launches to get less for the collections i barely get by as event focused new player. (15days or so for a free 2nd best power building? why would i fly something else)
And then use my precious fuel for less reward?

Also i dont get the quantum link like items. QL is freaking expensive, for less waiting until it comes down? i guess its to fly more launches in a given day, but i had my first launch 3-4 days ago and i dont have the items for the next one (although i could get them somewhat quick, but reason above)

You can get all items need for launches through visiting neighbors, buildings in your city, and flights (chart below).
You can attain QLs by flying space maps and completing collections (Link below)
Joining launches with others is very helpful. If you are in the captain spot, you can get help with others contributing points. If you join at a lower spot, you still get good rewards for less fuel. The best way to do launches is to coordinate with others so everyone gets a lot of rewards.

In my opinion, Too many newer players make the mistake of trying to launch their own rockets without help. They either are in a rush or put so much in they waste what they’ve started to collect so they can’t do more launches.

Visiting Training Centers and Planetariums are an easy way to get the prep items you need to launch. Even putting in 12 or 40 points will get you decent rewards to grow your game.

i did probably do my first launch wrong. i got those 360 thingys from the platin chest in the event but i also used fuel for coins and probably spent more in coins through that fuel than i got from the launch.
especially since i did it completely alone. but it was also part of the quest chain.. my 2nd launch will be somewhen in the future,
especialy if the rumor about the comet event starting tomorrow is true.
but besides platin chest and the fuel building, there is nothing that gives enough fuel for launches.. so i dont know why i would launch anything without the fuel.
also to launch reliably i didnt collect many collections yet, partly because i focused on event flights.
also i lack space faring friends
the order of rewards from space flights is still sorted by fuel spent, right? not who started it?

I would highly suggest getting as many neighbors as possible with 6 training centers. Ideally more than you can actually visit and visit them
daily to get the prep items needed. Join launches from neighbors found here follow the rules outlined above. Things will become much clearer
in the chaos that riding the comet usually causes. Also read up on high jacking so it does not happen to you or you do it by mistake. It is basically
just "stealing" 1st place for the most part.

and those ranks are determined by fuel spent right? there is also no way to communicate about who takes wich spot if not through launch chats and the forum?
but i think that should be no issue for me now, as i got into an alliance that does such chats and i guess ill just fly with them then
