Riding the Comet event starts tomorrow (October 1, 2025)

Yes, that makes 3 times this year. This will be the shorter version (7 days).

The last time was in July, so I will just paste some general reminders for newish players.
1) To get more neighbors for launching, post your friend code here and in the Launch Chat.
2) Add instructions into your game name such as "Wait2QL" or "PassMe". The first indicates that no one should launch your rocket unless there are at least 2 QL holders (launching with only 1 QL is very sad in this event). The latter means that anyone can pass you and you will not be mad about it.
3) Good launch etiquette for this event: Never pass someone with a QL who has added 576 points and does not have "PassMe" in their game name.
4) If you do not have a lot of neighbors, consider just joining others with a QL such that your QL makes at least 2 QLs on the launch. You may not get first place, but the rewards for other places are still very good and you get event currency.
5) If you are worried you will accidentally start a Blue or Red launch, remove the roads from those launch pads so there is no possible way for you to start one of those launches.

NOTE: By posting your friend code, you may get neighbors who do not follow your launch rules. I find that this event helps me to delete my less than friendly neighbors.

That is just the basics. There may be varying circumstances that will require you to make decisions -- consider how you would want others to behave on your launches.

with the event just being 7 days, is it possible to get the full pass? considering going premium. can and will do several hours daily. Although 7 days mean less daily chests for the 8 quests. i guess the pass will still be the same price?

The 7-day version of the event previously had half the points required for each progress stage. It is possible to complete the event within an hour or so if you join enough launches with tons of QLs. The premium pass will be the same price.

The launch bonuses, including QLs, count for the entire launch and they are combined. (e.g., 1 QL reduces the flight time for the launch by 90%; a second QL reduces the remaining time by 90%; a third QL reduces the remaining time by another 90%... etc., until it is basically instantaneous return of the rocket)

so the way is to have two ppl with the ql in the launch so everyone gets it back almost instantly, and you chain launch to make use of the qls?

Correct! The more QLs, the faster you can launch in series. The first few days of the event usually have crazy launches with 7 or more QLs going every minute.

Totally agree, anyone that gets too greedy or can’t read simple instructions deserves the boot. First launch today first neighbour removed “ Roman” ,

now i feel double bad for yeeting the alliance launch early. been told i can have 2nd seat. i had like 71 strong explosives left and one of them would put me on 2nd. so i used it. i didnt think about that it would put the rocket in space too
