Hi all, good to see a few old names back on the forum dr_fly, you are still recognisable as a friend, thanks to the Bob on the runway Are you going to be starting the Christmas challenge, in which case, I assume you will need the usual sleigh oil etc??

Have sent friend requests to I Fly 2 and Sirairman, if you have room for any more on your lists?! Still trying to get my first ice rink completed, but am getting almost no presents for Africa and VERY short on star dust. These pesky elves are sooooo stingy Have three sleighs sitting in the hangars most days... More lanterns needed, please! Am trying to send other gifts to Pakman and any others that I know have finished the current challenge, but would really appreciate lanterns if poss. I'm still so far off completion that am almost giving up hope.

A very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all my neighbours (and ex neighbours!!) on the game.

Hi I Fly 2, I'm a bit confused here cos I have received 3 units of fuel from you, twice! Once a few hours ago and once again just now. I will try to send landing lamp back when gifts refresh tomorrow morning. Not sure why fuel arrived instead of lanterns, but I've ceased to be amazed by anything that happens in this game So far, your name is showing. I will not rock the boat by trying to visit you just yet...!

I just sent you a lantern, as I did earlier today. The only thing I'm thinking is whether the position of the lantern on the gift list on Android is where the fuel is on IPad. I have no idea. The lantern is the second gift item. The first gift item is the fuel. I just checked on my IPad game, and while fuel is the first gift item, the lantern is the third item. I will send you a lantern again tomorrow, but let me know whether you get fuel. I'm really so sorry. I don't see your name, but I do see your avatar, which is just as good for me. It shows you at level 32. Is that correct? I invited myself and for whatever reason, I have two me(s). One me shows level 35 username, but I can't visit my neighborhood, but I can send a gift. The other me, shows I Fly, at level 24, but the neighborhood I visit isn't and was never my neighborhood. Oh well.

I need old lanterns, the drop rate from neighbors seems to be 1 per neighbor if I'm lucky. And my elves aren't dropping any dust in return. I have 2 unfinished ice rinks and 2 unfinished igloos...

I have finished the quest, sadly the flights to lapland etc don't drop so I had bought stardust which I now don't need.
Once the quest is successful, the buildings, shop, ice rink etc still do drops, quite frequently too.

My total haul from visiting neighbours today was a measly 5 lanterns and a couple of other items. There was nothing at all from 2 of the airports and I clicked elves on every one except Pakman I had hoped that the elves would give a bit extra on Christmas ..... Silly me!!! The 5 lanterns yielded no stardust at all from my elves. This quest is just so hard without spending money, which I am still refusing to do. Still, one ploughs on in the hope that the Christmas spirit might strike GI eventually

I have almost the same experiences as you - also trying to complete ice rinks, getting very few old lanterns, much less stardust, extremely few gifts for Africa (which I need most) and absolutely no artificial ice! I am almost giving up on the Santa quest. And it doesn't even much yield secondary benefits like fuel...

Hi Tom, you forgot to add the sarcasm when you reproduced the reply from GI. I had this reply 3 months ago, and I expect others have had it too. It comes as about reply #4 in their sequence of pre-determined replies in their instruction manual, after they say they've never heard of the username problem, and ask which version you have, and then for screenshots, etc.

On topic, I get maybe 1 or 2 Stardust per day from all the lanterns I get. I don't see any chance of completing the Santa quest.

Thank you everyone for the gifts. I'm trying my best to send old lanterns to the ones that need them. Hopefully soon I will be able to send more useful gifts. I am so grateful for everyone's understanding and support as I start the game again with Android. I've noticed that there are a few more destinations offered to Android players, and hopefully they will open those destinations to IPad players as well.

I guess the response you received from GI sounds good if this is the first response you've ever received. But we have all received those exact words many times before. I wonder which function key that response is assigned to, I'm guessing F1 since it is used the most. I'm sorry I keep sending you a landing lamp. I have three username 35 neighbors and don't know what else to do. I really don't want to send myself a gift, as I now have 23 neighbors and want to have gifts for everyone. I know you don't need anything I can send right now, but maybe in the near future you'll need landing lights for a future challenge.

I have no problem with you sending me Landing Lamps. While I can't use them right now, I'm fine with returning them to you. I'm sure you're having fun "starting over."
