Hopeless events.......!

Santa's Bad Day is another in a series of events that are impossible to complete without spending a lot of $$$ and using up vast reserves of fuel - I would challenge anyone to complete this without spending any airport cash. For something like a casino or a bank then it might be worth it but not for just another coin generating building. Come on GI please give us some interesting challenges that are possible for mere mortals to complete!

I completed it without spending any Airport Cash.
Got the Spy Glass,Sky Captain from Adventure Buildings and Fuel from Launches, Friends in need Bonus by Completing Alliance Collections.

I do understand the frustration though with a bit of planning it was manageable with what I consider
a small outlay of greens. I finished it by purchasing 5 spy glass which really could have had for nothing if
I flew to the crest destinations. My strategy I bought the SG every other day just before reset which for 2 neighbor
visits during bonus time yielded 120 shovels. I would then use all the shovels before bonus time ran out as well.
On those days I also made sure to time flights to land when the bonus was on and then hit the turbo prop and
jet locations to maximize flights landed during bonus. The shovels got me 13 green belts for those 5 SG's I also
finished 4into the whites during those bonus times. Needed about 4 more items for into the white and just let them fall.
I was at 2 or 3 let it snow I finished those using @crescent moon strategy of clicking the snow melting facilities as quick
as possible. So for me 20 greens 0 extra fuel and 11 days to complete. Did not take much extra time either as my main
collecting happened just before and after reset time which is when I usually have time to play anyway.

He wasn't blaming GI, he was merely stating that for the vast majority then its difficult, not everyone has all the adventure buildings to build stock or the ability to fly hundreds of reds every week.

I personally don't mind it being difficult, I don't expect to have resources to complete difficult tasks as I am sill amassing my adventure buildings and I only have the resource to do maybe 100 reds a week - but that is increasing all the time.

What I find frustrating is the inconsistent drop rates. 7 days ago all I needed was 3 seals to complete - I was very happy with myself having done so well. In the last 6 days I have had ONE useful drop from the snow facilities and I'm doing exactly the same as I was before. Same rate of visits, same bonus's, same strategy.
