Discord for teaching classes?

Hi all! Totally random question here: Does anyone here have experience using Discord as an online classroom tool?

Like all other people who teach as part of their jobs, I am looking to have more student participation/engagement online. So, any tips/info would be helpful. Thanks!

As a way for them to have discussions with eachother, including sharing screens and such. I ask because there are lots of bad problems with Zoom.

Perfect! I had not seen this! Only issue I can see is that is does not generate a transcript, which I am required to supply any time I post a recorded lecture online. But this should be a great alternative for discussions among students.
