Android Collecting and Sending Gifts via WiFi

I am away from home at the moment, and have had to play airport city via wifi while keeping everything else in airplane mode (I am on android). While on WiFi only, I can visit neighbors and collect from them, as well as view alliance rankings. However, sending and receiving gifts seems to be iffy, even though the other connections function perfectly. Has anyone else had the same issue when solely on WiFi?

I’m always only on wifi as my tablet on,y works on wifi. You have a strange problem. Wifi= same connection as connected by cable.

yeah wifi shouldn't be a problem unless your connection is poor or unstable.

Ok so maybe it's just a connection issue that seems to affect gifting. Maybe gifting is the most demanding in terms of bandwidth 🤷🏿‍♂️

When on vacations, I usually experience some difficulties with gifting while using mobile data. I really need a strong 4G signal to do it. (Very rarely with Wi-Fi, but it can happen if the signal isn’t stable).
